New To You Stamps Happen Santas

Still getting out those old images to use, while incorporating some of my new 'stuff'.  I had several images of the Santas With Stars by Stamps Happen.  I decided to make a couple of cards with them and the fact that I usually layer really made it more appealing to me.  The only place I could find the stamp for sale was on EBay, etc.  I am also unmounting all of my woodblock stamps to make more room, so it worked well for that reason too.

IMAGES:

1. The Santas W Stars was stamped on white cardstock 6 times with Brilliance Gold, heated to dry the ink, painted with twinks, used a black Sharpie for the eyes, then fussy cut for the front, back, and envy, leaving a thin white edge around the images.  Fussy cut 3 of the stars on one of the other images for the cardfront and 2 sides on the back.
2. The Merry Christmas from the IO Merry Tree die was used with Bazzill deep pink cardstock.  I cut a 1.25 X5.5 piece of the cardstock.  Tape was placed on the die and paper on top to hole it in place.
3. The Santas had been painted with twinks and were mounted as shown.  The stars were embellished with Stickles Buttercup glitter glue.  Flower Soft/Glossy Accents was used for the fur on caps and Viva Decor Ice White Pearl pen was  used for the beards and hair.
4. The ribbon is from my stash and the Czech glass heart bead was added to the pearl corsage pin.

CARD FRONT/BACK AND ENVY:

1. They were created using Spellbinders Enchanted Labels 28 largest die.   White Laid cardstock was used for the front and regular white cardstock was used for the back.
2. All images were placed on the die cuts first.  ATG tape and was used to place the centers back to back, and the Glossy Accents was used on the 4 corners.

HINT - Someone asked about the needle nosed bottle for the Glossy Accents.  It has worked well for me for about 8 years.  It has only plugged up a couple of times.  I found leaving the bottle on its side keeps it from doing that.   When it did I used a long beading needle to unplug it.  If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask.

Old Fashioned Santa Easel Card

It was so hard to get a good picture of this.  I used glitter on the snowflakes and snow on the image in places.  The image, Checking His List by Stamps Happen, Inc., was stamped twice with StazOn Timber Brown .on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. cardstock.  The image was painted with Twinkling H2O's. The first image was cut out, turned over on an embossing mat and used a stylus in the areas I wanted to raise. Then I painted and cut out his Holly crown with Cardinal, arm and hand, squirrel, rabbit, and list, and mounted as shown with 3D pop dots.  Flower Soft Polar White was used for Santa's fur trim.  Viva Decor Pearl White was used for the trim on his sash.  The ribbon is May Arts used with a Bow-Easy.  The pin was made using a Corsage Pear Pearl pin and Czech beads.  I always lay a little bit of Glossy Accents along the pin near the top as I slide each bead on and let it sit.  It holds them in place.

The card measuares 5"X5".  I created the fold using White cardstock according to the directions you can find HERE using my Scor-Pal.

The Background card front is from Bazzill Dotted Swiss Clover Leaf and Irish Eyes cardstock.  The next layer was done using my Mega Mount and Impression Obsessions Cover-A-Card Pine and Stampin' Up Classic Old Olive, with Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock, that was embossed using Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Snowflakes, added off center at the bottom.  Deco Arts Glamour Dust Crystal was added to places on the snowflakes and snow using a Sakura Quickie Glue Pen.

The base is the the same card stock assembly as above.  The Snowflakes are die cuts from Cuttlebug Snowflakes #2 and are highlighted with the same Deco Arts Glamour Dust Crystal added to places on the snowflakes with the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen.  The die is from Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two and cut from Bazzill Dotted Swiss Clover Leaf cardstock.  The die was then used as a stencil on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White for the center. The sentiment is StazOn Blazing Red with Hero Arts Merry Christmas.  Hero Arts says this stamp is limited.  :-(

I have made a 5.25X5.25 box for this card, but I am patiently awaiting more of the Dotted Swiss cardstock to finish it.  :-)

Bohemian Folderol!!!

Sometimes I just get bored with cards before I finish them or I can't figure out exactly what I should do to finish them. I put them in a box and................you know what comes next, :-) , I know you do. Well below is one of those cards. My name for it is Bohemian Folderal because I like all the colors, but not sure if they all go together, and the layout forever plagued me. I wondered around with this card for over a year. LOLOLOL

The main image is from Stamps Happen. I have no idea where their site went. The stamp was inked with Encore Gold and embossed with Egyptian Gold Embossing Powder; then painted with Twinkling H2O's and highlighted with Rangers Stickles Orange Peel glitter glue. The words are from Words Plate I by Rubber Stamp Tapestry. If you click on the image to see it up close, the swirls from Autumn Leaves Elegant Flouishes can be seen. They were stamped by using Micro Glaze by Judikins and then watercoloring over the stamped area with Twinkling H2O's. To me they look like swirly clouds. :-0 So humor me!! Smiling!

The Lavendar Trellis on the left side is from Cuttlebug's Floral Borders die set. The ribbon is May Arts. The Pearl and flower rhinestone embellishments are from Hero Arts. Thanks for looking.
