Finally Mix 'N Mugs

I've had this Flourishes set for a while and decided when I finally got my new Spellbinders dies to use it.  Here is what I did:

Image:
  1. Stamped the image from Mix 'n Mugs with Brilliance Galaxy Gold ink on white cardstock twice.
  2. Painted first image with twinks, cut out, and embossed from the back.
  3. Painted the daisies and blue flowers on the second image, cut out, embossed from the back, mounted on the first image with glue dots and Glossy Accents.
  4. Created embossed die cut with Spellbinders A2 Polka Dots next to largest die and white cardstock. Hint - I just use a stylus to emboss it from the back.  For me it's quicker than putting it though the machine.
  5. Mounted flowers to it and stamped Just for You with Memento Bamboo Leaves.
Background and Base:
  1. Stamped a piece of white cardstock with CAC Ticking inked with SU Barely Banana.
  2. Stamped over that with CAC Dots and Brilliance Moonlight White, added White EP,  and heat embossed.
  3. Created embossed die cut with Spellbinders A2 Polka Dots largest die.
  4. Used the die as a stencil to create the background from my stamped one and mounted.
 Assembled:
  1. Mounted the image on background.
  2. Threaded blue ribbon as shown and tied bow.
  3. Mounted bow with Bow-Easy for bouquet.
  4. The pin was constructed with a 1" corsage pin and a 6mm glass pearl heart bead.
  5. The inside card measured 4.75"X7" before folding.
Inside and Envelope:
  1.  I used a dauber and Galaxy Gold to ink the center of the bouquet to add it to the inside and envy.  Painted with twinks.
  2. Added glitter glue to centers of flowers on envy, cardfront and inside.
That it for today.  Feels good to be back at least for a while!!!  Thanks for stopping by to look and share!

Hi, Shirley! How I have missed you! (((hugs))). I just spent some time visiting your blog to see what you've been up to the past month or two. WOW. Your artwork reminds me of feminine purity - graciousness and beauty. Always so pretty and sweet, but elegant. I especially like the way you've "popped" the daisies dimensionally. The matching envy is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing so deeply and concisely to inspire and educate the rest of us!

Oh my...another spellbinder rectangle die I have been eye balling. Your card is soooo pretty. And, you managed to cut all around the bouquet of flowers and add all the glossies and thread the ribbon..stunning!

Wow! The whole card has such a lacy effect with the punches/dies. Great job on making a card with such a delicate feel, yet a big impact.
