On A Trip With Cubism

That's right!!! You heard me......Cubism! Braque's Papier is just one of the latest techniques from the current Technique Junkies Newsletter. If you haven't already seen artwork by Kimm Bennington-Thompson, you should check out her blog. She is the artist who adapted the Baraque technique so it could be used with rubber stamp art. She is on the Technique Junkie Newsletter Design Team.
This was a really fun project for me. I don't know if I like my results or not, but I do know I have seen some really beautiful cards posted on the Technique Junkies Yahoo group using it.

My card was done using Big Iris from Starving Artists, stamped with Stazon Forest Green on Stampin' Up Very Vanilla cardstock. Had to use my Twinkling H2O's Blue Ice to highlight the flower and also a little Rangers Silver glitter glue. The other papers used were left over scrapbook paper from other projects. The words are from Words Plate I from Rubber Stamp Tapestry and were stamped on Stampin' Up Whisper White with Stazon Forest Green. The Silver metal corner is from the Architectural Accents Sizzlet die set. The pearls are by Mark Richards Crystal Stickers Elements.
Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by "the blog".
