Published By Vamp Stamp News (VSN)

What a wonderful surprise to find my card above was chosen to be in the current issue of Vamp Stamp News (VSN). This was my very first try to be published, so you can imagine how thrilled I was. Actually Lisa Somerville of Technique Junkies emailed me to say she and I were in the current issue of VSN. Here are the other TJ members that were also published: Brenda Loock, Pat Garvin, Wanda Hentges, and Deb Lovett. If I have left anyone from TJ out, ladies, please do not hesitate to email me and I apologize ahead of time.

This was the current VSN challenge I used to create the two cards I submitted:
Focus Article: Dimensional Layering: Raise your artwork off the surface to create lively, fun stamp art! We look at:
Cutting Choices, Adhesive Choices, Ideas for Layering Images, Card Framing & Borders, Quilling Introduction, Punch-Ins and Bloomers and Ideas for Mailing Dimensional Cards.

I also provided how I created the card and with what stamps and materials. The main image stamp, Fern Collage, is from Stamp Zia and the word is from Word I Plate by Rubber Stamp Tapestry. The fern leaf is from the Woodland Ferns set by Hero Arts.

Here is my second card that didn't make the cut:

The stamps are from Pond and Swirl Background by Impression-Obsession; Swirly Cat-a-tude by Firecracker Designs by Pamela, and Swirls by Stamp-Out-Cute.

Because I was chosen I received a free copy of the magazine and a special stamp.  A very fun experience! As always, I welcome questions if you have any and thank you for stopping by "the blog".

Congratulations! Both of those are beautiful but I actually like the one they didn't use much better. Go figure.
